Dog Virtual training
Work with us from the comfort of your own home with our virtual training sessions. Chat to our trainers about any issues or training goals you have via WhatsApp, FaceTime or Skype, and receive bespoke advice, instruction and demonstration, in real time.
Through virtual training you can benefit from our experience and expertise, even if you can't work with us face-to-face.
Whether you’ve just added a new puppy to the family, or experiencing problem behaviours at home, dog training can quickly become a priority. Most owners find themselves either reading a few dog training books, or watching free training videos online, but quickly become either worried that they’re applying what they’ve learnt incorrectly, or the dog simply doesn’t seem to be responding to the training as they hoped they would.
If the books and videos didn’t give you the answers you were looking for, you would typically sign up for some in-person training, or group classes, with a local dog trainer. But, due to COVID-19, we’re spending an unprecedented amount of time at home, avoiding unnecessary social interactions, ordering online food and supplies for delivery, and consuming digital content. So, if you’re looking to avoid unnecessary travel, prefer to learn through digital content, need the flexibility, or have social anxiety, virtual training may be a convenient and intuitive option for you.
Virtual training does have it’s limitations, especially when dealing with issues such as reactivity and aggression. Although a lot of fundamental training support can be given virtually, behavioural modification is and always will be an area where working 1-to-1 with a professional is mandatory. Our clients safety is paramount to us and we will never advise on training protocols if we believe they may be placed in harms way.
The predominate difference between in-person 1-to-1 dog training and virtual training is that our trainers will focus on teaching you how to train and understand your own dog, rather than training them ourselves. Using a video calling service such as Skype or WhatsApp, we will be able to watch you interact with your dog in real-time, provide demonstration with our own dogs, and answer questions you have along the way.
Train from the comfort of your own home
Schedule training time in when it’s convenient for you, without the need for any unnecessary travel, or rushing around to make appointments.
Begin training young puppies before they're vaccinated
Hit the ground running with your training and give your puppy the headset they need to be successful, rather than beginning at 14-16 weeks once they’re able to travel.
Less distracting environment for dogs that are struggling
Some dogs find the outside world too over-stimulating and struggle to really focus on learning. Training from home can provide them with enough foundational skills to progress towards the outside world.
Provide a 'behind the scenes' view into issues at home
Some problem behaviours occur seemingly sporadicly, making it complicated to effectively observe and address. Using video calling at the right times, seeing is understanding.
